We first made a group chat and divided the roles.

We met up in the following class to start shooting the scenes. We followed the storyboard given, along with the footage references. Each of us played an important role and learnt something in shooting.

Next, we had to use the recorded video and audio to make our own movie trailer. It could be of any genre or mood. I first compiled the video and audio, synced them together and cut the necessary parts. Since the footage we took seemed like a pretty dark story line, I wanted to go for some type of romance-horror trailer. I made a rough storyboard of how I want the scenes to go together, mashing up different voice-lines and scenes together.
I first did a rough draft of how the trailer would go. Later, I found a soundtrack that would fit the trailer's mood and manipulated the parts to fit in certain scenes. I arranged the clips to sync with the background music. I added in some words that helps describe the trailer, plus the title at the end. I wanted to go for 80s style horror chic-film and added cheesy lines.
After I arranged accordingly till everything fits and I'm satisfied, I added sound effects that adds to the video quality. Lastly I colour corrected and graded the clips so that they have the same atmosphere, depending on the scene. I had fun doing this, as I changed the colour mood for different scenes, like making the flashback seem older and less saturated, while the action scenes are more defined in colour and lighting.
Finally, I rewatched the trailer to make sure everything is how I want it.
