Instructions

• Sync the required audios in Premiere Pro (Speech & Sound effects only, no music):
• Download the folder:

• Watch the video on Premiere Pro timeline
• List down each scene on spreadsheet
• List out each sound effects for each scene

• Record dialogue with phone, search sound effects online
• Place audio files on timeline and sync it with video.
• Audio track:
• 3 tracks for dialogue, one character, one track.
• 4 tracks for sound effects,
• 3 tracks for ambience sound.
• Edit voice from female to male, male to female, human to cute animal/adult to kid: Premiere Pro → Audio Effects → Pitch Shifter → Semi tones.
• Volume: Dialogue: between -6dB & -12dB, Ambience: below -20dB, Hard sound effects: Depend.)

Progress

After I downloaded the video and dubbing file, I proceeded to make a spreadsheet table to plan each scene. This was a group project as we split the tasks and place all the necessary audio and labelled timestamp inside, besides the voice dubbing that we need to do by ourselves.

Afterwards, I recorded the audio dubbing for each character. At first I didn't watch the video and record at the same time, which was my first mistake of not lip-syncing the script. I had to rerecord some parts so that it fits the timestamps. 

I gathered all my files and named them accordingly: one for the video, audio dubbing and sound effects. I made new file on Adobe Premiere Pro named Exercise 1: Audio Dubbing and placed all the files inside.

I made 10 audio tracks, following the instructions above and placed the audio accordingly from character dialogues, sound effects, and lastly ambience. I cut the audio and adjusted each one to sync with the video nicely.

For the male character, I adjusted the pitch frequency to a lower one that fits. Even though I do not really like the sound, but it will have to do with this exercise. I also adjusted the pitch for some other sounds to make it more fitting to the video.

I added some effects like fading out to have a more natural sound rather than cutting it off strangely. I then adjusted the volume for each audio, with the character's dialogue being the most important, to the sound effects depending on the action, and the quietest for the ambience. I tried to adjust the audio that sounds believable and natural.

After checking the video, I finally rendered the video.
